Newest Obsession...Nancy Ann Dolls!

I recently became enamored of Nancy Ann dolls.

Luckily for me, they are not too hard to find.
They originally came in adorable polka dot boxes. I have a few of them, too !

Even somewhat tattered, they are gorgeous.
Nothing like those sweet expressions.
I prefer the ones with eyes that do not open and close.
They are beautifully painted.
Take a look next time you are out junking!

Holiday Happiness

Much crafting this weekend! My stash of goodies from Layer Cake Shop has come in very handy! I made vintage inspired toppers for jars of "Reindeer Chow".

The red checked paper you see is just cupcake paper flattened and glued to the top of the jar.

I did a few in a 'snow globe' effect. I used 1/2 a plastic ornament from a craft store as the 'globe' on top. The I added a vintage image and some 'snow'!

How cute is that?

Here is the label I created. Feel free to use!
Happy Holidays!

I decided to tackle one of those chip board 'books' that you can find in the craft stores. I used some light blue chalk paint that I sealed with Mod Podge.

I couldn't resist trying one of Tim Holtz' new frames.
I used hot glue instead of the foam attachment.

I decided to tuck in a gratitude quote on this summery thank you note. I am a little bit addicted to the paper flowers these days! If you can find real vintage ones, there are tons available at Wild Orchid Crafts.
 Happy Summer Crafting!

 Congratulations, Graduates!
I wanted to use a vintage image for this graduation card. Thanks to Pinterest, it didn't take me long to find the perfect one! I used paper posies to add a 3D element to some of the flowers, and super fine white glitter on the graduation cap.
One of the joys of spring!

Summertime Calendar

I know I've been absent for awhile, Friends! I figured I'd better show up with something good!
I made this calendar for a friend to celebrate summer.
I got the idea for the format here.
I like that it's practical - you can remove the pages for the individual months if you need to.
You could even make a generic one and just change the
calendar pages.

I'm hoping she'll like it!

Hope you have some good summer inspiration going!

Happy Holidays!

This year I spent some time making some gift card holders inspired by the amazing Kathy Orta over at Paper Phenomenon. She is absolutely amazing.

My dad is a big fan of Thomas Jefferson, so his got extra adornment of saying from the man himself. I included more on the inside as well, some about the importance of reading.

I love to use these red berries as embellishments. Its inexpensive too, since you can buy them in bunches from the craft stores.

Aren't these boxes adorable? I got them here.

I've used old photos as cards for a while now...sometimes family photos and sometimes ones that are just too charming to pass up.

Hope your holidays are merry and bright!

File Folder Album

I decided to try a file folder album which I bound myself using the Bind-It-All.
My daughter's regatta in Philadelphia was the perfect excuse to try a new project.
They're a little out of order and there's a bit of a glare...
...but hopefully it'll inspire you to grab some file folders and give it a whirl!
