Inspired by a vintage charm bracelet I found in aNew York City flea market, I have renewed my love for charm bracelets! I purchased this book, called Charmed Bracelets by Tracey Zabar for just a few dollars from Amazon. It's really lovely. The pictures are gorgeous, and it's well-written. I highly recommend it for your own bookshelf!
"...the most irresistable and alluring thing about a charm bracelet is it's ability to tell a story unique to it's owner. Consider a charm bracelet 'history on a wrist' - there is nothing more personal or symbolic. Laden with tiny figurines, fond remembrances, and sweet forget-me-nots collected over the years, charm bracelets chronicle small moments in a life lived. Truly, to wear one is to wear your history upon your sleeve."
wow! I've gotta get that book!I love charm bracelets, each little charm has such a memory behind it. hehe...I could make ya a charm for your bracelet!... hugs
I love charm bracelets. The first one I ever had was a gift from my mom - it was hers when she was a little girl and now I am wondering where I put it...oh I have to go look now!
How lovely! My daughter has started charm bracelets for each of her girls and I think that is great....by the time they really appreciate them they should have quite a few:D
My name is Sarah, and I am a mother, wife, professional counselor, and huge fan of scrap-booking and other paper crafts. After getting so much inspiration from the amazing and beautiful blogs of so many women, I decided to create my own! I hope it gives you Joy for your own Journey!
"The craft of questions, the craft of stories, the craft of the hands - all these are the making of something, and that something is soul. Anytime we feed soul, it guarantees increase." - Clarissa Pinkola Estes
